Ravenglass aiming to follow in Manx charity's footsteps
Beach Buddies will be spreading their message to neighbouring shores with a sponsored visit to the Lake District this weekend.
A team of ten volunteers from the charity will meet with the local residents of Ravenglass in an effort to set up a beach cleaning effort of their own.
It comes after a BBC documentary which followed the work of the Manx community thanks to its founder Bill Dale.
The Inside Out programme is said to have reached 3.3 million viewers nationally and last weekend, was shown on the BBC World Service to some 220 million:
