Kate Beecroft says the Manx public 'absolutely deserve' to know how the government's Media Development Fund lost £26 million of public money.
The Douglas South MHK is a longstanding critic of the fund, and gave evidence to Tynwald's Public Accounts Committee on Friday.
The committee is investigating whether the loss needs further investigation, and whether changes to 'governance procedures' are needed.
Mrs Beecroft says if governance is open and accountable, you shouldn't get situations like the one with the fund:
