'Exorbitant' asking price derided
The chief minister has attacked the current state of the Castle Mona hotel - and said its owners should neglect it no longer.
Allan Bell says the Sefton Group should recognise the esteem in which the former palatial governor's residence is held on the Island.
The future of the building on the capital's central promenade was raised during Keys questions today, by East Douglas MHK John Joughin (14 June).
Mr Bell said there were no plans to work with the Gubay Trust, to convert the Castle Mona into a new national art gallery.
But the chief minister used the opportunity to criticise its owners:
