
Chief Minister Allan Bell says constant bickering over the Sefton Group’s government bailout isn’t helping the Isle of Man.
He was speaking after accepting the resignation of Economic Development Minister John Shimmin yesterday.
Mr Bell says he feels Mr Shimmin was unfairly hounded over the issue, with constant questioning in the House of Keys and Tynwald about the deal.
He says that poisoned public perception and has damaged the Island’s credibility:
