Island escapes serious damage, as Storm Barbara eases

Flights departing and arriving again also

The weather appears to be easing, after Storm Barbara caused a number of problems around the Isle of Man earlier.

Gale-force winds have brought down trees at various locations, while there have also been a few power cuts.

Those have all been dealt with by Department of Infrastructure and Manx Utilities staff respectively.

At Isle of Man Airport, flights are moving again, albeit with some delays.

The Steam Packet says going on the current forecast this evening's 7.45pm sailing from Douglas to Heysham is expected to depart as scheduled.
