Normal schedule expected to resume tonight
Manx Radio understands repairs to the Ben-my-Chree have now been completed, and it should be all systems go to resume to the vessel's normal schedule this evening.
A technical issue with the stern door resulted in this morning's trip to Heysham, and the return service, being cancelled.
Repairs were expected to take up to six hours, but the Steam Packet Company did maintain that the vessel would be back in operation for tonight's 7.45pm crossing.
Passengers affected have been given the option to transfer to the Manannan.
