Steam Packet issues update following damage
The Ben-my-Chree will sail on Monday evening, albeit later than usual, the Steam Packet has confirmed.
The decision has been taken following checks by the Packet's engineers, an underwater inspection by Department of Infrastructure divers and approval of repairs by Isle of Man Ship Registry surveyors.
According to the Steam Packet, the vessel will leave at 8.30pm, returning from Heysham at 3.30am.
Passengers are asked to check in no later than 7.45pm for the former, and 2.45am for the latter.
The Ben-my-Chree was damaged after colliding with the King Edward Pier as it manoeuvred in Douglas harbour on Sunday evening.
