Bendy bus assessment underway

An assessment of bendy buses on Island roads has started.

Two bendy buses have taken to the streets in a month-long trial and are now being used on a number of routes, including some school services.

It’s estimated introducing the buses would achieve £3 million worth of capital savings and in the region of £300,000 in annual revenue savings.

One of the independent assessors, Brendan O’Friel, who is chairman of the passenger watchdog TravelWatch, says his remit is clear.
