Charities 'working together' to improve services
Organisations working together could improve care for patients who travel off-Island for treatment.
That's the focus of a meeting in Douglas on Tuesday evening (21st June), hosted by the Council of Voluntary Organisations.
The CVO, along with youth charity Bridge the Gap, the Council of Cancer Charities and TravelWatch, say they've already approached government departments about improving patient transfer facilities.
Suggestions such as waiting room services and emotional support mechanisms are up for discussion.
