Historic house could open for public use
The clock could soon be turned back on part of the Island’s heritage.
The historic Lorne House in Castletown is to be run as an educational and events venue.
It’s hoped the former governor’s residence will open this autumn to host weddings, parties, meetings and exhibitions.
It could then open to the public from next April as a visitors’ centre.
Manager Nadine Sgoura says she’s long admired one of the Island’s best houses and grounds.
