
A former MHK is bidding for a return to the House of Keys.
Douglas councillor Bill Malarkey will contest the by-election in South Douglas - likely to be in late May – made possible following David Cretney’s elevation to the Legislative Council earlier today.
Mr Malarkey, who served in South Douglas from 2006 to 2011 and helped lead the Chief Minister’s drug and alcohol strategy, says he has a passion for politics and wants to be involved nationally again.
