Island promoted as secure location
Emerging biomed businesses seeking backers and a user-friendly location are looking closely at the Isle of Man as their next base.
So say organisers of last week's third Manx BioMed Conference, which brought together 140 delegates from different parts of the industry.
BioMed is where business, technology and medicine merge.
Firms in the sector are known for developing highly innovative approaches to diagnosis and healthcare.
The Isle of Man is promoting itself as a business-friendly, well regulated and secure location for biomed firms.
Conference organiser Courtenay Heading says it's a unique offer:
Public warned of increased risk of wildfires
Assisted Dying Bill mover pleased as Jersey becomes first place in British Isles to legalise assisted deaths
Jurby resident wants to raise £4,000 for four Manx charities
