Shopping centre manager hopes for sales boost
It's Black Friday - reportedly the biggest shopping day of the year.
The idea for a massive sales day on the Friday immediately after Thanksgiving has been growing in popularity this side of the Atlantic after being imported from America a few years ago.
It's seen as a kick-start for the Christmas shopping season.
General Manager of the Strand Shopping Centre Louise Whyman says the idea can provide a boost for stores on the Island:
Candidates could need to declare interests to stand in 2026 General Election
Customs and Excise office to relocate
Douglas man convicted in Island's 'most complex child abuse image investigation'
Temporary lights installed on Douglas promenade
