DoI carrying out resurfacing work for up to three weeks
It's hoped major work at Braddan Bridge will be as pain-free as possible for motorists.
A new one-way system is now in place for up to three weeks, with traffic heading out of Douglas being diverted along Saddle Road.
The road will be closed completely at the weekends.
Highways Liaison Officer Andy Kneen explains why the resurfacing work is being carried out:
Candidates could need to declare interests to stand in 2026 General Election
Customs and Excise office to relocate
Douglas man convicted in Island's 'most complex child abuse image investigation'
Temporary lights installed on Douglas promenade
