Leader of Manx language revival not driven by personal recognition
A teacher of the Manx language believes Dr Brian Stowell will be remembered as someone who worked without an ego for the good of the Island.
Dr Stowell, who was instrumental in reviving the Manx language, passed away this week at the age of 82.
Adrian Cain, who works at the Bunscoill Ghaelgagh, says Dr Stowell wasn't motivated by personal recognition or awards, but was driven by a love of the Manx language and the Island.
Mr Cain explains his approach to teaching:
Red Arrows reduced to seven jets ahead of TT display
Police arrest biker caught doing "more than 100mph in a 50mph zone"
Pre-TT Classic: Roads to close for qualifying and racing sessions
