Chief Minister hails the biannual event held in Dublin

The chief minister says Friday's British Irish Council summit was a success.

Allan Bell attended the 24th biannual conference in Dublin, joined by Social Care Minister Howard Quayle.

The meeting at Dublin Castle welcomed government leaders from the UK, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.

Mr Bell says it was a fruitful discussion, being the first since the UK's general election.
