Historian calls for proper registration process
The government must develop a clear strategy on giving historic Island buildings registered status.
So says Peter Kelly of the Isle of Man Victorian Society - he's concerned about the lack of action being taken to save some 'culturally significant' properties.
It follows a decision by the Planning Committee not to list the Wool Centre on Peel Road in Douglas, as well as similar uncertainty over The Nunnery.
Mr. Kelly says a proper registration process would create better safeguards:
