Headteacher writes to parents
The headteacher of a primary school in Ramsey has confirmed a case of Covid-19 has been detected within their school.
David Jenkins from Bunscoill Rhumsaa has written to ‘parents, carers and friends’ to inform them of the development.
The individual is said to be ‘well’ and is currently self-isolating – the school is in contact with Public Health and further information will be shared in due course.
Earlier today it was revealed five new cases of the virus have been detected over the last 24 hours.
Speaking in Tynwald Garff MHK Daphne Caine questioned whether the school's response fitted in with the revised exit framework which is currently under discussion in the court:
