Bus drivers to sue for unfair dismissal

A quarter of bus drivers may have signed up to the new terms and conditions offered by the government, but the majority of those have done so with a gun to their heads.

That's according to Unite's branch secretary in the Isle of Man Billy Chesnut.

He says most of that quarter will also be pursuing their employer, the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure, for unfair dismissal after they were given their notices in a row over paid lunch breaks.
