Brunnschweiler asking gov to extend VAT cut to drinks
The boss of Bushys is calling on the Manx Government to help pubs that don't serve meals.
VAT on food served in hospitality was cut from 20% to 5% earlier this week.
Martin Brunnschweiler would like to see this also being applied to alcoholic drinks served in pubs and restaurants to give the sector a real boost.
He believes some businesses face hard times and tough choices unless support continues:
Bus drivers gather at picket lines
TUC and Bus Vannin urge public not to be abusive to bus staff during strikes
Contingency timetable takes effect as bus drivers stage strike action
