By-Election: Candidate says she'll 'fight' for residents needs if elected

Sara Kennedy-Hay is standing in the Ramsey Commissioners' by-election

A candidate in the upcoming Ramsey by-election says she will 'fight' for the wants and needs of the people in the town.

Sara Kennedy-Hay is hoping to win the vacant seat on the authority's board - she says residents' views will be brought to attention 'consistently'.

Voters can make their choice at Ramsey Town Hall from 8am until 8pm tomorrow (7 March); people who need a proxy vote have until 5pm this evening to register.

Mrs Kennedy-Hay says there are a number of problems that have come up since she started canvassing.

She's been speaking to Local Democracy Reporter Emma Draper:

The other candidates standing in the by-election are Joe Callister, Sandra Cottam-Shea and Pauline Johns-Garrett.
