Garff MHK to preside over court in absence of Juan Watterson
Daphne Caine has been elected as Deputy Speaker of the House of Keys.
The MHK for Garff was appointed above Douglas South MHK Claire Christian, by a poll of 14 votes to 10.
It means, in absence of Speaker Juan Watterson, Mrs Caine will preside over sittings of the house.
