Speaker puts motion forward calling for reform
There are calls for the way the Isle of Man sets out its annual budget to be reformed.
A motion will go before Tynwald this week asking for a series of changes to the system.
These include a four-week gap between the budget being proposed and members of the court voting on it.
Also being proposed is allowing members to make amendments and receive independent budget advice.
Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson has put forward the motion.
He believes the current budget system is 'undemocratic':
RPU will be 'out in force' to stop drink and drug drivers
Ramsey Commissioners to spend more than £8k on deckchairs and storage unit
