Lobbyists host vigils on Douglas promenade every Friday 'for the Palestinian people'
A group of lobbyists from the Island are calling on the Isle of Man Government to 'take stronger action against Israel' as the conflict in Gaza continues.
Amnesty International Isle of Man, Caarjyn Phalestine and Manx residents have held vigils on Douglas promenade every Friday 'for the Palestinian people' since the ceasefire ended back in March.
But they have seen their numbers increase over the last several weeks - with over 120 people coming out on Friday, 23 May in the rain.

Amnesty International Isle of Man Chair Philip Matthews says the group have again written to Tynwald members:
Manx Radio has contacted the Isle of Man Government for comment; we have yet to receive a response.
FILM SCREENING
Later this month, a Palestinian journalist is to visit the Island to screen his documentary film 'The Phoenix of Gaza'.
The footage, filmed in the summer of 2023 by Yousef Alhelou, has become some of the last footage of Gaza before the ongoing conflict there.
The documentary had its premiere in London in February, and has won three 'best documentary' awards at independent film festivals.
Phil Matthews added: "We are very fortunate in securing his visit and look forward to welcoming Yousef to the Isle of Man.
"This is a unique opportunity see footage of Gaza filmed in the summer of 2023 and to put questions to a highly respected Palestinian journalist who has suffered great personal loss and is now devoting all of his time to sharing the truth about his homeland."
Tickets (£5) are available from OMA in Ramsey, Celtic Gold in Peel, Bridge Bookshop in Port Erin, Sound Records in Douglas, and the Green Centre in Douglas (on Saturdays only), or you can contact Phil on 334109.
