CAMRA Beer and Cider Festival cancelled due to Covid

Organisers say logistics of staging event 'an impossible task'

The CAMRA Isle of Man ninth beer and cider festival has been cancelled.

The annual staple was due to take place this Easter between 8 and 10 April, and was set to raise money for mental health charity Reach.

However it's been called off as a result of the ongoing lockdown due to rise in community spread of Covid-19.

Organisers say it's the 'only responsible course of action' considering the situation both here and across.

They say the pandemic has made the logistics of staging the event an 'impossible task'.

Now the Festival Committee is working to bring it back next year, over the weekend of 7 to 9 April 2022, again at the Villa Marina.

Organisers have thanked their main sponsors, advocates Long & humphrey, GrayLaw Freight and the Department for Enterprise for continued support.
