The chief minister says Manx Care must operate within its given budget irrespective of the demands on the service.
Alfred Cannan has told Manx Radio the health body’s continual overspending is an ‘absolute priority’ for him, and the Council of Ministers, to address.
But he hasn’t yet set out the ‘turnaround plan’ he promised earlier this month.
Mr Cannan says arguments over whether Manx Care is actually underfunded need to be looked at in the ‘medium-longer’ term:
