Card-only driving licences introduced

Paper counterpart scrapped by DoI

The Isle of Man will see driving licence holders convert to card-only from next week.

The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed single-part licences will be introduced as of Monday (Monday, Feb 22), dropping the paper counterpart altogether.

There'll be no change to existing licences, until they are up for renewal or if you are a new driver.

The card will show mostly the same information, however it will no longer display people's home addresses.

The department says the move is part of ongoing efforts to streamline services and come into line with the rest of Europe.
