Owners cite 'exponential rise' in operational costs as the reason for its closure
A popular gym in Douglas has announced it's closing next month.
The Carrefour Health Club confirmed the news on social media.
Operating for nearly 25 years, the owners say the business hasn't been immune to the 'exponential rise' in operational costs in recent years.
They say the continuing rising expense coupled with the necessary cost-saving measures and reduced staffing levels have made it 'increasingly difficult to maintain the level of service it's always strived for'.
In thanking all their staff and suppliers, they've also thanked their landlord for their ongoing support and understanding.
The gym will close its doors at the end of November.
