Castle Rushen High School prepare for 'worst case scenario'

Two teacher strike dates are expected next week

Castle Rushen High School is preparing for a 'worst case scenario' as industrial action from the NASUWT is expected to go ahead from next week.

In a letter to parents, various year groups are being told not to attend school on certain days.

Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 must stay at home on 30 November and 1 December.

Pupils are being asked to use remote learning resources but are being told there won't be subject specific learning activities available for every KS3 and KS4 subject.

Meanwhile, Year 11 is being asked to attend for mock examinations but return home afterwards.

Sixth-form students will attend lessons as normal with a list of classes going ahead due to be published in due course.

For those entitled to free school meals, provision is being made where children may collect a cold packed lunch from reception between 12.45 and 14.00.
