HM the Sole speaks as anonymous £1.25million bid lodged
A previous bidder for the Castle Mona says he wants to work with all parties interested in the landmark building to ensure it's preserved to the highest standard.
Ian James Clanton, also known as HM the Sole, is conducting his PhD thesis on the historic building and wants to see it restored as a national asset for the Island.
It's understood an anonymous offer, reported to more than one and a quarter million pounds, was lodged for the Castle Mona last Friday - a public auction for the site, set to be held yesterday (17 Mon), was then cancelled.
Mr Clanton, who's recently conducted a 3D mapping of the historic hotel, says he wants to work with the any bidders and the local community to protect the site.
