Follows comments from commissioners and businesses
Planned changes to bus routes through Castletown in light of a one-way system on Castle Street have been scrapped.
From tomorrow people travelling on the southbound buses into the town centre were told they will have to transfer to another service from the Bypass - a move decribed as 'dangerous, costly and wholly inadaquate'.
Now, however, Isle of Man Transport has gone back on that decision and the bus will trial looping round the square instead - as suggested by the town's commissioners.
Bus Vannin warns this will mean some slight changes to the timetable, with the bus departing one minute earlier from Ballasalla and three minutes earlier from the airport.
The one-way system will be in place for a year, as work gets underway on Derby House and the former police station.
People are advised to check the latest bus times via the findmybus.im website.
