Event has been organised to commemorate anniversary
A celebratory event for the 130th anniversary of Poulsom Park is being held this weekend.
Castletown Commissioners says the area is the 'greatest gift' ever given to the town and, as part of the day, will be replicating the first parade held in 1896.
Sunday's event is free, running from 1pm until 5pm and will feature various attractions, including giant games, Manx dancing, vintage engines display as well as a treasure hunt and art activities by Manx Birdlife.
The park was gifted to the town by Mary Ann Poulsom and as part of the celebrations local children will be invited to help plant four new trees.
