Mark Cavendish won his first Giro d'Italia stage for nine years with a sprint finish on stage three.
The Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl rider hit the front with 300 metres remaining in the 201km stage, edging out his rivals.
The victory leaves the Manx Missile third in the points classification.
He also becomes the oldest non-Italian rider to win a stage at the Italian Grand Tour.
