Yn Chruinnaght marks 40th year
Artists from Ireland, Scotland, Brittany and Wales will be joining Manx musicians and dancers for a celebration of Celtic culture this week.
Known to many as Yn Chruinnaght, Celtic Gathering includes concerts, ceilis and workshops in the west of the Island.
To mark the 40th year of the event, organisers have secured an appearance by one of Ireland's top folk music groups, Altan.
The festival also includes appearances by popular performers Imar, Las, and Mera Royle.
Committee member Chloe Woolley says the inter-Celtic nature of the festival is important.
The festival starts on 11 July, and runs until 15 July.
