Minister questioned over access to appointments in a 'timely manner'
Centralising the booking system for GP appointments on the Isle of Man is an idea being considered as part of efforts to transform the health service.
The health and social care minister has confirmed his department is looking at it, as part of the Transformation Programme, alongside ‘a lot of different things’.
In the House of Keys this week Lawrie Hooper was asked what action was being taken to improve accessibility for patients who want to speak to a GP surgery in a ‘timely manner’.
He said the DHSC is trying to find an ‘optimum’ way of handling appointments:
