Methodist Modern Art Collection visits IOM
There's a chance to see paintings from one of Britain's most important collections of modern religious art at four Island churches from this Sunday (13 May).
The 'Awakening' exhibition features artworks from the Methodist Modern Art Collection, which is held in trust by the church.
It's the first time touring exhibition has visited Manx shores in it's fifty year history.
Paintings will be available to view in the Promenade Methodist Church in Douglas, Ramsey Methodist Church, Colby Methodist Church, and Peel Cathedral for the next five weeks.
District Chair of the Methodist Church in Island the Reverend Richard Hall says people shouldn't be put off by the word 'modern'.
The four churches will be open to the public between 10am and 4pm daily.
