Changes to Lieutenant Governor's role long overdue, says Celtic League

The Celtic League says changes to the Lieutenant Governor's role are long overdue.

Last week nationalist party Mec Vannin held its Annual General Meeting and discussed possible new titles for the governor and the UK paying for his presence here, rather than the Manx taxpayer.

But Chief Minister Allan Bell was quick to dismiss these ideas because the government has no say in his title or his rent.

However, the Celtic League's Bernard Moffat says making a few changes could hugely impact our relations with other nations:
