Former government press officer doesn't expect change before the next election
A former government press officer says it would be 'pretty reckless' to make changes to the triple lock so close to the next general election without seeking feedback from the public.
Last week, Treasury Minister Alex Allinson confirmed plans to replace the triple lock with the Manx Pension Guarantee had been put on hold until after a public consultation takes place.
He'll be proposing a 4.1 percent increase to the Manx State Pension when he announces the budget in Tynwald tomorrow.
