Hope to highlight the work they do and challenges they face

A number of charities on the Island have come together to host an event for those standing for election to find out more about the third sector here.

It's said to be a chance to talk about the value they bring to the Isle of Man, as well as some of the challenges facing both the organisations and the people they support.

The event on Monday (24 August) is open to any charity or prospective election candidate.

Maureen Cowbourne from Age Concern Isle of Man and Joff Whitten from The Children's Centre have been speaking to Amy Griffiths

The event is open to any charity on the Island and also anyone standing for election.

It's taking place between 2-4pm at the Children's Centre on Monday (24 August).
