Autism in Mann hosting a number of events to raise awareness
A number of events will be taking place across the Island over the coming weeks as we mark Autism Acceptance Month, which takes place in April each year.
But one charity working to support those with the condition year-round is Autism in Mann.
It works independently and with other charities and organisations to provide training opportunities for members and professionals, and also jointly funds a teacher to work with children with autism with the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.
Carole Williams from the organisation says whilst we've come a long way, there's still a lot to do:
Five IOM women recognised in King's Birthday Honours
Police issue statement after reports female 'grabbed by her arm'
Option to relocate dementia patients no longer being considered by Manx Care
'Multitude of late boat arrivals' impacting customer numbers, says business
