Mencap welcomes clarification on proposals, but says government still has work to do
A charity's appeal against proposals to demolish a facility for adults with learning disabilities has been withdrawn.
Mencap Isle of Man initially opposed plans to knock down Radcliffe Villas, but says it's since received further clarification on the proposed redevelopment of the site.
However, the organisation says government needs to follow through on intentions set out in its strategic plan for adults with learning disabilities, particularly around ensuring a wider range of suitable accommodation.
Mencap says it will be working with other community partners to ensure this remains a priority.
