Policing at a distance isn't possible, says Gary Roberts
The head of the Island's police force says he's disappointed his officers haven't been moved up the priority list for coronavirus vaccines.
Chief Constable Gary Roberts says it's not possible for police to do their jobs at a distance, and it would take only one incident involving Covid to leave the constabulary short staffed.
He's held talks with the Home Affairs Minister and Department of Health and Social Care after Steam Packet and transport crews were given the jab.
He warns not vaccinating officers could cause problems for policing on the Island:
Scammers becoming more sophisticated with AI, say police
More restrictions for MHKs over planning comments
Two thirds of vehicles checked by police found to have defects
Campaign group welcomes step towards free period products
