Bill would cut number of votes needed to show no confidence
A bill which would cut the number of votes needed to show no confidence in a Council of Ministers, and thereby the Chief Minister, has passed its third reading.
A request by the Legislative Council during its second reading - for a conference with the House of Keys - over aspects of the proposals was rejected.
This week it was given its third reading in LegCo.
When the bill becomes an act it would cut the number of votes needed to show no confidence in the administration from 16 to 13.
