One tree for every resident at Santon project
The chief minister has become one of the first to plant a tree in the new 'People's Wood'.
It's part of government's project to plant 85,000 trees, one for every Island resident, at Meary Veg in Santon.
The 113-acre site is to be planted with a mix of broadleaf trees, aiming to help 'offset the Island's carbon emissions.'
Howard Quayle says he's looking forward to seeing the woodland develop over time.
