
The Chief Minister has promised a full government response to the latest report by Tynwald’s public accounts committee.
Its accused ministers of acting ‘fast and loose’ over financial regulations, language Allan Bell says is ‘dramatic’ and ‘unfortunate’.
The committee investigated whether government had the authority to take three quarters of million pounds from reserves to pay for consultants reviewing the National Insurance Fund.
Mr Bell says whilst the Council of Ministers considers the findings of any report to see what - if any - changes or improvements are needed to regulations, he believes this document has been angled in a particular way
