Tynwald previously backed petition for Island to seek to extend offshore rights
The chief minister will give an update on the median line between the Isle of Man and the United Kingdom at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
Alfred Cannan contacted the UK's Ministry of Justice last year after a petition calling for the Island to secure more benefits from the Irish Sea was backed by Tynwald.
The petition sought to extend the Island's offshore rights up to the median line between the Island and the UK.
Mr Cannan will make a statement on the topic when Tynwald sits later this month.
