The Chief Minister hopes the Isle of Culture will leave a lasting legacy.
2014 will see a celebration of all the Island's music, dance, art, theatre and literature.
Allan Bell hopes the twelve months of events will bring similar benefits to the Island as those seen in the European City of Culture Derry.
