Children aged 4 to 11 invited to take part in sponsored walk to raise money for local charities

The Rotary Club of Douglas is set to host its annual Mini 'Parish' Fun Walk for children.

The event invites children aged between four and 11 to take part in sponsored walks ranging from one to 2.5 kilometres, depending on age group.

The charity fundraiser is divided into four age categories and aims to encourage young participants to raise money for causes of their choice.

Each child will receive a medal, certificate, and sponsor form to support their chosen charity.

Over the past four years, more than £100,000 has been raised between 60 charitable organisations.

Manx Radio's Christy DeHaven spoke to Organisers Ivan Bratty and Mike Priest:

Number collection begins at 10am, with the first walk starting at 11am. The route will be marked and marshalled by Rotary members and volunteers.

Registration is £5 per child and can be completed via: https://my.raceresult.com/338025.

Senior Parish Walk winners Callum Gawne and Samantha Bowden will lead the Mini 'Parish' Fun Walk.
