Contestants to take on fiery challenges at Onchan Pleasure Park

Organisers of the Isle of Man Chilli and BBQ Festival have said the event is the only provider of food 'celebration'.

The event which is entering its second year, has looked to fill the space left behind by the Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival.

Fire Island Chilli Farm are behind the 'celebration', promising live music, food demonstrations and spicy challenges.

There will be a Fire Island Chilli eating competition, while Pico's hot wings heroes will push contestants to their limit with fiery chicken wings.

The event will also have a change of scenery after it was held in Market Square in Castletown last year.

It will take place at Onchan Pleasure Park on Saturday, 13 September from midday until 9pm.

Organiser Stuart Meade is expecting a great day out:

The event is free to enter.
