No Festival of Choirs in 2021
The Isle of Man won’t be in fine voice this October after news that another popular event has succumbed to Covid-19.
The Festival of Choirs, which is normally held every two years, has been cancelled.
Five UK singing groups, and a range of Island based choirs, had already signed up following the success of the 2019 event.
Festival director Geoff Corkish says the pandemic has made it difficult for people to practice:
Vote on Castle Rushen High School funding 'very unlikely' before election
Ramsey Commissioners to host public meeting about cottage hospital
DfE provided more than £250,000 to MT to assist with below ground fibre installations
Man given suspended sentence after importing 2kg of cannabis to Island
